India vs England World Cup 2023 Warm Up Match: In the 2023 World Cup warm-up match between India and England, rain spoiled the game. The match was supposed to start on Saturday, but it rained before it could begin. The rain kept coming, so the umpires decided to cancel the game just before 6pm local time due to the bad weather.

All 10 teams in the World Cup will play two warm-up matches each before the main tournament starts in Ahmedabad on October 5. England’s first game is against New Zealand. They came to India a day before their first warm-up match and will stay in Guwahati for their second warm-up game against Bangladesh on October 2.

India, on the other hand, came to Guwahati after winning a series against Australia. Now, they will go to Thiruvananthapuram for their second warm-up match against the Netherlands on October 3. The warm-up matches started on Friday. Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets, and New Zealand won against Pakistan in a high-scoring game in Hyderabad. These warm-up matches are happening at three different venues: Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, and Hyderabad.

At 5:40 PM local time and 12:10 PM GMT, it’s official: the game won’t happen. The umpires decided it’s best to call it off because the drizzle keeps falling. Both teams probably won’t mind, but for different reasons. India has played a lot of white-ball cricket recently, and England seemed tired from traveling.

India’s next warm-up game is on Tuesday against the Netherlands in Thiruvananthapuram. England will play against Bangladesh on Monday in Guwahati. Unfortunately, the weather for both these games doesn’t look great. Let’s hope for the best!
