India vs Australia 4rth T20: India clinched a 20-run victory against Australia in the fourth T20 match. Batting first, India scored 174 runs, losing nine wickets in 20 overs. Australia, in response, managed only 154 runs, losing seven wickets. Rinku Singh played a crucial role in India’s win, scoring 46 runs off 29 balls, including four fours and two sixes. His strike rate during the match was 158.62.
During India’s batting, in the 12th over, Rinku hit a remarkable six over third man with a switch hit against Australia’s off-spinner Matthew Short. The crowd in the stadium got excited and started chanting “Rinku-Rinku.” Captain Suryakumar Yadav, watching from the dugout, jumped up, clapping enthusiastically in response to Rinku’s shot. What happened in the match?
Talking about the match, India defeated Australia by 20 runs in the fourth T20 and took an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match T20 series. Australia won the toss and decided to bowl first at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. Batting first, India scored 174 runs losing nine wickets in 20 overs. In response, the Australian team could score only 154 runs after losing seven wickets and lost the series along with the match. The fifth and last match of the series will be played on December 3 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

Rinku Singh scored the maximum 46 runs for India. Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed 37 runs and Jitesh Sharma contributed 35 runs. Ruturaj Gaikwad was out after scoring 32 runs. For Australia, Ben Dawlish took three wickets and Tanveer Sangha-Jason Behrendorff took two wickets each. Aaron Hardy got one wicket. In this match, Team India could score only 13 runs in the last two overs and lost five wickets. For this reason India’s score could not reach close to 200 runs.

Captain Matthew Wade scored the highest unbeaten 36 runs for Australia. Travis Head contributed 31 runs and Matthew Short contributed 22 runs. Ben McDermott and Tim David contributed 19 runs each. Spin bowlers contributed the most to India’s victory. The first four wickets of Australia were taken by the Indian spinners. Akshar Patel took three wickets and Deepak Chahar took two wickets. Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan got one wicket each. However, the Indian spinners bowled very sparingly and Akshar-Ravi together gave 33 runs in eight overs and took four wickets.
