Rohit Sharma Test, KL Rahul ODI and this player make T20 captain for South Africa Tour 2023

The Indian cricket team’s roster for the South Africa tour has been revealed. They’re set to play three T20, three ODI, and two Test matches in South Africa. Different captains have been chosen for each format: Suryakumar Yadav for T20, KL Rahul for ODI, and Rohit Sharma for Test matches.

BCCI’s Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar announced the Indian squad for all three formats in Delhi on November 30. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli won’t play T20 and ODI in the South Africa tour. Mohammed Shami’s participation depends on his fitness due to ongoing medical treatment.

In the ODI team, Sanju Samson and Yuzvendra Chahal have returned, with new faces like Rajat Patidar and Sai Sudarshan included. Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav aren’t part of the ODI squad.

KS Bharat has been left out of the Test team, leaving KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan as specialist wicketkeepers. Jasprit Bumrah is now the vice-captain for the Test team.

Suryakumar Yadav continues as T20 captain with Ravindra Jadeja as vice-captain for the first time. Rituraj Gaikwad has been included in all three formats.
