Asia Cup 2023 India vs Pakistan, Rohit Sharma and Babar Azam

Pakistan Announced Its Team for the Match Against India in Asia Cup 2023

In today’s match of Asia Cup 2023, the intense rivals India and Pakistan will face off at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy (September 2). Pakistan, just like in their first game against Nepal, has revealed their playing 11 a day before the match (September 1). Pakistan is sticking with the same team that convincingly defeated Nepal by 238 runs in their first game on Wednesday.

As for India’s playing 11 against Pakistan, there’s some uncertainty due to KL Rahul being ruled out of the group games. It’s yet to be decided whether Ishan Kishan or Sanju Samson will get the chance to play. However, reports suggest that Captain Rohit Sharma wants to keep the top order, which includes Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, and himself, unchanged. If Ishan Kishan is selected, he might play in the middle-order.

But Kishan’s middle-order record isn’t too strong. He has played six games at the number 4 spot, averaging 22.75, and had some difficulty facing spinners early in his innings.

In the pace bowling department for India, it’s unclear whether Prasidh Krishna will be chosen over Mohammed Siraj or Mohammed Shami.
