Rishabh Pant: Now a big update is coming regarding Rishabh Pant. He may soon make a comeback in international cricket. Let us tell you that Rishabh had undergone ligament surgery after having a terrible accident. Since then he has been away from cricket. Rishabh pant will not tour South Africa in the month of December. Even though Pant’s recovery is going very well, it is still going to take time for him to become completely fit. If things go as planned, Pant will return in January for the IND vs AFG series instead of the IND vs SA tour. Before this, he will have to make a comeback in domestic cricket and gain confidence along with match fitness.

Rishabh Pant has been training alone with frequent visits to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. The BCCI medical team is still monitoring his progress. Pant played his last match against Bangladesh in the month of December.

BCCI gave information

A senior BCCI official told a media channel, “These are still early days. It is good that he is batting in the nets. But he still needs some more time. He has to go back to domestic cricket and regain confidence. Perhaps if everything goes well, a comeback against Afghanistan may be possible. But still, it is not certain yet,”

After the World Cup, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah will be given rest. They will gather for a camp in Bengaluru before leaving for South Africa in the first week of December. Vijay Hazare Trophy and Ranji Trophy are to be held in the coming days. In such a situation, Rishabh Pant can return to play cricket in either of the two. If everything goes well, it is possible to return to the IND vs AFG series in January. Otherwise, his comeback will be in the Test series against England in March or IPL 2024.
