Shubman Gill, India vs Pakistan: Shubman Gill was unwell during the first two matches of the 2023 World Cup because of dengue. As per reports, Shubman has been practicing in the nets.
According to India Today, Shubman was seen practicing at Motera, where a special batting session was organized for him. He spent about an hour practicing his batting on Thursday. Whether he’ll play in the India-Pakistan match will depend on his current health. Shubman traveled directly to Ahmedabad from Chennai while the rest of Team India went to Delhi for the match against Afghanistan. He had low platelet counts, and doctors advised him to head straight to Ahmedabad.

In the World Cup 2023, India played its first match against Australia in Chennai and won by 6 wickets, but Shubman couldn’t play in that game. They also secured an 8-wicket victory in the match against Afghanistan in Delhi, where Shubman was also not part of the playing squad.
Shubman Gill is a talented cricketer who has shown his skills on multiple occasions. He has scored 1917 runs in 35 ODI matches so far, including a double century, six centuries, and nine half-centuries. His highest score in ODIs is 208 runs. Shubman has mostly batted as an opener in his 31 ODIs but has also played four matches at the number 3 position, where he’s scored a century.
