Controversy has deepened over Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Panauti’ comment. Cricketer Mohammed Shami has also been asked a question about this. However, Shami reacted to this statement and distanced himself. He answered questions regarding cricket openly.

Three days ago, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had taunted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the World Cup loss and commented by calling him ‘Panauti’. Now the statement of cricketer Mohammed Shami has come in this matter. Shami said, we do not understand these controversial questions. Focus on the basics. The thing you have worked hard on for two months. Attention should be paid to that. Political agenda should not be brought in between. I don’t understand all this.

Actually, Shami was asked that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had commented on the PM on losing the World Cup without taking his name. Rahul has said that there was a conspiracy there, due to which the matches were lost. Shami reacted to the question asked about Rahul.
‘PM had great support…’
Regarding meeting and talking to PM, Shami said, it is very important. At that time we had lost the match. Meanwhile, when your Prime Minister comes and encourages you, it brings a different kind of confidence. The responsible man of the country is standing with you and sympathizing. Moral remains down at that time. I think this was a huge support.

‘VIP movement doesn’t matter…’
Shami replied about there being some kind of pressure due to the VIP movement in the World Cup final in front of Australia. He said, there was nothing like that. We never think about all this. We don’t overthink too much. We had to play in the final in the same way as we had played the last 10 matches. He was playing with the planning.

‘That day could be a bad day…’

Regarding Amroha, Shami said, we have a lot of talent here. I want to thank the UP government. Steps have been taken regarding the stadium. Many children are in need. Children want to progress in sports. According to me, this is a good initiative for the youth. Let us tell you that the Indian team’s fast bowler Mohammed Shami has Sahaspur Alinagar village in Amroha district. The district administration team had come there to mark the land for a mini stadium. Shami has performed brilliantly in all the matches of this World Cup.
